Already have a blank, self-finishing needlepoint bag you love? Send it to me!
Using your favorite photo as inspiration, I will create a custom design of your dog and hand-paint it directly onto the needlepoint canvas of your bag.
Once it's finished, I'll send your bag back to you, ready for you to stitch your completely one-of-a-kind bag!
HOW IT WORKS
1. CONTACT ME BEFORE ORDERING
Please email me at beastandbloomndlpt@gmail.com and include:
~ Your favorite clear, well-lit dog photo(s)
~ A link to the exact blank bag you purchased so I can see the bag's layout, dimensions and paintable canvas area
~ Any ideas you have for your design
You can be as involved in the creative direction as you'd like — or leave it completely up to me!
2. WE'LL PLAN YOUR DESIGN + PRICE
Custom painting begins at $125 for your dog.
If you'd like additional design on the bag — such as background florals, stripes or other decorative elements — there may be an additional charge depending on your requests.
Because every bag and every custom design is different, your final price will depend on the size and complexity of your design and the amount of canvas being painted.
After I see your dog photo(s) and your bag, we'll discuss your ideas and I'll give you an exact price before you order.
Return shipping — $15
3. YOU APPROVE YOUR DESIGN
I'll create a rough draft of your custom design for your approval before I begin the final painting.
Once we've finalized your design and price, I'll send you instructions for placing your custom order.
4. SEND ME YOUR BAG
After your order is placed, I'll give you the address for sending your blank self-finishing needlepoint bag to me.
5. I HAND-PAINT YOUR BAG
I'll hand-paint your custom artwork directly onto the needlepoint canvas of your bag.
Once the painting is complete, I'll carefully send your bag back to you.
Then comes the fun part — you get to stitch it!
ABOUT THE PAINTING
Your custom design will be free-form hand-painted rather than stitch-painted, meaning the paint is not precisely confined to each individual mesh intersection. Your painted artwork serves as your visual guide as you stitch.
As both a canvas artist and a needlepointer, I understand how much — or how little — detail makes for an enjoyable stitching experience, and I keep that in mind as I create your design.

The bags shown in the photos are examples of my custom painting. Sample bags shown are Rita Ratskoff Designs Mini-Clutch and Shoulder Bag and are not included with this listing.
